Hollywood Climate Summit Marketplace
The Hollywood Climate Summit Marketplace offers an annual curated collection of films that gain exposure through our partnership with American Film Market and are shared with our network of over 100 distribution executives.
In partnership with Jackson Wild, New Filmmakers LA, and other leading festivals, the Hollywood Climate Summit Marketplace curates an exceptional collection of films across documentary, fiction, unscripted series, and short formats that demonstrate both impact and entertainment value while exploring themes related to our planet and environment.
This initiative provides films with unprecedented access to industry buyers and platforms, creating opportunities for these important stories to find their audiences.
Hollywood Climate Summit Program Pilot, June 2024
We paired independent films with distribution and acquisition opportunities. In partnership with CAA Foundation, American Film Market (AFM), The Redford Center, and Wild Motion, we assembled a curatorial team, including Robert Redford and Cristina Mitermier, who selected 13 films with climate themes. The collection screened for 50+ acquisition executives and 400 attendees over three days. Five films received follow-up inquiries, LA Times Docs acquired one short film, and another received a grant for an Oscar campaign.
American Film Market
In partnership with AFM, we established a curatorial platform specifically for climate and environmental films as part of their official marketplace.
Jackson Wild Summit
The Hollywood Climate Summit Marketplace Showcase at Jackson Wild was a curated preview event celebrating compelling environmental stories ready for distribution and seeking to reach global audiences. Attendees experienced exclusive previews of carefully curated environmental stories nominated for excellence at Jackson Wild and heard directly from the filmmakers about their creative journeys, from initial concept to distribution-ready final product.
