2025 Hollywood Climate Summit
Annual Conference Recap
In a year when climate and sustainability initiatives faced unprecedented pressures, the Hollywood Climate Summit community responded with extraordinary solidarity and energy. The 2025 Summit convened 8,634+ creative professionals across all formats—from in-person attendees to global livestream participants from 39+ countries.
Hosted at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, this multidisciplinary gathering brought together storytellers from film, television, advertising, gaming, music, and beyond alongside climate scientists, policy makers, nonprofit leaders, and environmental leaders.
Through educational panels, workshops, interactive sessions, and collaboration accelerators, we created infrastructure for the entertainment industry to strengthen mainstream climate messaging at the scale the climate emergency and declining climate media coverage demands. 90% of attendees reported increased understanding of climate communication strategies, and 88% indicated that they made meaningful professional connections that are already catalyzing new collaborations. This year was a catalytic moment for this community—when the world's most influential storytellers refused to go quiet and instead lead the conversation on what comes next.

Sustainable Event Practices
Modeling a new standard for sustainable events, attendees experience a fully plant-based culinary journey while discovering cutting-edge vendors redefining eco-conscious production. We partnered with local food vendors and farmers markets to minimize transportation emissions and support our community, while our collaboration with food donation programs and Green Shot ensures that surplus food is redistributed and waste is properly recycled rather than sent to landfills. From catering to swag to stage design, we model sustainable event and production practices across every element of the Summit—demonstrating that entertainment experiences and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
Media Amplification
The Summit generated 2.5 billion+ impressions through 120 media placements, including coverage in The Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times, Deadline, Variety, and international outlets. Social media collaborations with influencers and talent—including Alexis Nikole Nelson (2.4M followers), Camilla Luddington (5M), and posts from organizations like Sunrise Movement and Mother Jones—created an additional 80 million+ social media impressions.
Access and Inclusion
True to our values, we provided 12% scholarship passes and 43% complementary/discounted passes to community partners, ensuring diverse participation. All programming included ASL interpretation, and our virtual participation remained free to eliminate barriers to global engagement.
